Guild Rules for Prima Nocta, Horde, Gul'dan server
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Purpose: These Guild Rules outlines the ranks, loot rules, banking structure, and disciplinary procedures by which Prima Nocta will operate, including:
· Guild Ranks · Guild Messages · Raids, Loot and DKP (listed separately under Raiding Rules) · Chat and Vent Rules · Guild Banking · Disciplinary Actions
The GM may modify these rules at any time, although two weeks notice prior to a rule change going into effect will be considered customary.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ranks: Guild Master Senior Officer Officer Veteran Raider Member Initiate AFK
All guild members on the roster at guild formation will be automatically entered as Members unless already designated as a Senior Officer or an Officer.
Initiates (starting recruit rank) will be reviewed after two weeks for promotion to Member. Factors considered are overall attitude, teamwork, participation, and the recommendation of the officers and the class leader.
Members will be considered for promotion to Raider based on the consensus of the Officers. Raiders will be people wearing the requisite amount of gear and possessing the playstyle necessary for raiding progression level, or the newest and hardest, content. Raiders may be asked to spec differently in order to progress the guild, and will be expected to have done their homework on the boss the guild is currently attempting to down and bosses we will be attempting soon. By accepting the rank of Raider, that person will get prioritized for raid spots on new content at the cost of doing what is necessary for the guild to progress.
Veterans are people that have been in the guild for 1 year or more and have shown loyalty to PN through both bad and good times. This rank no longer has any association with "Raider" status, and acts independently of the rank structure. It is now an honorific bestowed on those who represent what PN is about.
Senior Officers and Officers (collectively the "Guild Officers") promoted after the formation of the guild will be promoted from the Veteran/Raider ranks unless no suitable Veterans/Raiders are available. Promotion of Officers and above will be at the sole discretion of the Guild Master with recommendations from the current Guild Officers. Players who will be unavailable to play for more than two weeks are expected to notify the guild officers through a post on the website. An Officer comment will be placed on those members to indicate their current rank and reason for unavailability. The AFK rank will be used for people who have not logged onto a toon in over a month, and will be reviewed for removal after 1 month of being AFK without a duly noted reason, ie military deployment, moving, or other valid reasons reported to officers on the forums.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Guild Messages: Messages on events planned for the guild will be posted on the guild website (http://www.primanocta.dkpsystem.com) and also put into a Guild Message of the Day within game. The guild leadership will make every effort to announce these events in a timely manner several days to two weeks prior to the planned event.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Raids, Loot and DKP: See Raiding Rules, posted immediately below the Guild Rules under the Guild Information block.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Chat and Vent rules: General guild chat and main vent channels are focused on the game. Chat channels for classes or other special purposes and vent channels other than the main guild rooms/raid channels will be designated for different purposes.
If language in chat offends you, turn on your profanity filter. Parents are expected to implement profanity filters for any of their children who are brought into the guild. Personal responsibility is a key concept of this guild.
We do recognize that not all people want to hear constant swearing on Vent. If the language is bothering you, move to a different channel or ask the other players to moderate it. If those methods don't work, contact an officer.
Chat and Vent during raids will be kept to a minimum. The only people using open raid chat or vent during a raid should be the raid leader and whomever they are speaking to. Members are encouraged to use a separate channel (example, a healer channel for all healers) when they need advice or have an opinion to voice. The leader for that channel will then speak to the raid leader. This will keep chat clear for leaders to make calls when events happen during the raid.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Guild Banking: The Guild Bank exists for one primary reason; to support the guild in it's efforts. All components and green or better items acquired during DKP runs (except for the items purchased with DKP) go to the designated looter (designated by the Raid Leader) for sending to the guild bank. Exceptions for equipment upgrades may occur at the discretion of the Raid leader. Some PvP events may also be designated as earning DKP when initially announced; these runs follow the same rule.
Green and blue items will be sold on the Auction House to provide funds for the guild, specifically to help purchase items needed for making flasks or other requirements for higher-end content. Other items (mined, harvested, skinned) will go to the guild bank to provide resources for making resistance gear or other items necessary for guild progression. A mail request for items will be sent to the guild bank and answered in the order received.
Again, fairness and overall guild progression will determine who will receive items from the guild bank. You don't want the casters in back equipped with max fire protection gear when the Main Tank has very little!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Disciplinary Actions: Reasons for disciplinary action include but are not limited to: ignoring directions from Guild Officers, constant cursing, trend of selfishness, or other actions that cause a Guild Officer to give you a warning. Disciplinary actions may range from talking to you in private chat/Vent, demotion, or removal from the guild.
Demotion is a serious action and will not be done lightly. However, if a Member, Veteran or Raider acts in such a manner where the officers present do not believe a /gkick is warranted but serious disciplinary action must be taken, that guild member's toons may be demoted to an appropriate rank, normally Initiate or Member. The effects of this demotion depend on the rank they are given.
