Guild Charter

Welcome to Prima Nocta, either as a visitor, member, or founder. Hell, even if you're one of those Allies we spend our nights killing, welcome to our home. I'd ask you to come on our forums and share some words with us, but I imagine your keyboard is smashed from having your face kicked in by us so many times.

You probably clicked on the charter to learn more about us, so let me begin with a brief history. Prima Nocta was born of the minds of about a dozen sailors deployed to the Arabian Gulf from early to late 2007. It started off as a group of people killing time underway (and trust me, there's lots of it to kill) discussing something we shared in common: WoW. Not all of us played on Gul'Dan, but all of us did have a desire to see the content we missed with BC at our own pace, not be run through it by the guilds that progressed in our absence.

This idea became a reality when we returned home from a successful deployment, and started a charter that would soon change the face of Gul'Dan. In a mere 6 months, we grew to over 100 members, most of whom weren't even on the initial deployment, and became one of the servers top 20 guilds. Not bad for a bunch of guys who didn't play BC for nearly a year after release.

The next thing you're probably reading this page for is to find out what we do. The most important thing we do is also the simplest: Have fun. We have fun raiding progression content. We have fun stomping the afore mentioned allies when they think it's ok to gank our members. We have fun sitting in Shatt naked and talking about how bad our tanks are (they aren't, for the record.) We have fun not because of what we do, but who we do it with. Most of us realize that WoW is a social game, and the primary reason we still play after all these years is the friends we've made in our travels.

We have aspects of a guild that appeal to all members. We have casuals that play when they can and raid what they are capable of, hardcores that strive for new content every week, and even a small group of PVP enthusiasts that love to see ally corpses strewn about.

Me, I fall under the "hardcore" category. I play to have fun with my friends, but when I raid, I raid to win. And since the GM is a hardcore raider, he holds his raiders to higher standards than the rest of the guild. This isn't to say I prefer one member over another, but rather expect those who would raid progression content to be of a similar mind to me: motivated to win, team players, able to listen, and a thorough knowledge of the game. Your PVP spec won't cut it in my raid. You're 485 resilience won't cut it in my raid. If you come to our raids, you better come stacked to the gills for PVE.

I consider every member of PN to be my brother or sister. I'm honored to have you in my guild, from the most hardcore raider to the guy that can only get on once a week due to work. Being military, the leadership here understands that commitments in your real life can and should always take precedence. Please, make yourself at home here and welcome to your First Night.
